Can you send us your feedback?

Aloha from Hawaii Star Ball!
We truly hope this finds each and every one of you safe and healthy. As of this moment, the 2020 Hawaii Star Ball is still on! However, with all we are going through with this “new normal” due to the pandemic we are reaching out to learn your plans on attending.
The State of Hawaii has implemented some of the strictest travel restrictions and as a result has had one of the lowest COVID rates in the world. All travelers arriving in Hawaii PRIOR to September 1, 2020 are required to quarantine for 14 days. We remain optimistic that the islands will open up on September 1st. After September 1, in order to fly to Hawaii, visitors must take a COVID test within 72 hours in advance of travel and show proof of negative result. If testing is necessary, the great thing is we will all know that we will be around happy and healthy dancers. (Full details on the quarantine rules can be found here.)
Here is what we would like to know from you:
1.      Do you plan on competing in Hawaii this year? (Sept. 23-26)
2.      Are you willing/able to take a COVID test within 72 hours before travel and show proof of negative result?
3.      Do you have other concerns or feedback for us?
Please know that our team will do everything possible to assist you to be safe and healthy. We must still comply with all state orders to keep our staff and guests safe along with Hawaii residents as well. This includes occupancy limits in the ballroom and reduced or no communal meal services. Though we likely cannot provide all the amenities that we have in the past, we will still have plenty of dancing!

So, please dancers, let us know if you are planning on attending the 2020 Hawaii Star Ball. By August 7, we will make a final decision whether the event will go forward. Your feedback will be a major part of our decision process. You can reply to [email protected] or send us a message via Facebook / Instagram and let us know whether you planning to attend, a lot of our decision will weigh on how much participation we have!

If you have other concerns, please let us know.
Mahalo!

PS: We are thrilled to hear that Hurricane Douglas missed our beautiful islands!
